Dear F.C.: Refunding is great for saving money on many products – especially around the holidays. With the Christmas season coming up, are there any offers I can use to get free or low-cost gifts for my family and friends? – S.B. Emerson, N.J.

Dear S.B.: Yes, you can use premiums from refunds for your Christmas shopping. In fact, one women from South Carolina wrote last year. Through refunding, she received two free record albums from Trident, four free necklaces from Rice Krispies and Special Dinners, four Tender Vittle Bulletin Boards, five free dolls, two beach balls, five free pens from Kellogg's, paper plate holders from Armour Star, two Bic table lighters and a Pringle's Beach raft. You too, can get a head start now on your holiday shopping by using some of the refund offers listed here. For a small postage and handling charge you can get a book and record set, Norman Rockwell print, cookbook, taco rack, T-shirt and more.

The newsletter cost $1 per issue or $5 for a one-year (6 issues) subscription. To order, or for more information, write to Liza Fare, P.O. Box 875, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada L2E 6V6. Include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your request.

Dear F.C.: I have seen coupons for money-off frozen foods, canned goods, paper items, etc., but I have yet to see coupons for good for meats, produce or vegetables. Can you tell me if such coupons exist and how I can get them? – E.K. ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Dear E.K.: Coupons for meat, fresh produce or vegetables are usually available only through refunding. For
